Here at Energy Saving Secrets, we would love to share some of our Water Saving Tips with you to not only help you save money, but also for a greener and eco friendly lifestyle.
Fixing leaky Taps: There has been studies done to suggest that a tap losing one drop a second will waste around 15 litres of water a day. Over a year, this will equate to 5475L of wasted water. So tighten your taps whenever you see it leaking. Or call a plumber if the problem is still not fixed.
Invest in Water Saving Devices: High water high water consumption appliances and product can become much more efficient by using less water. E.g. a save-a-flush device is a great addition to your toilet as it can help you save up to 2,000 gallons annually.
Install a Water Tank: Gathering rain water is easy - you can use a water tank or even just a bucket. It is a cheap and efficient way to water your flowers and plants and keep your garden in great condition.
Take a Showers instead of Baths: This is probably the easiest of all our Water Saving Tips. A long bath soak is great and relaxing, but having just one can use up to 100L. An average shower will save you around two thirds of that amount and you'll be just as clean.
