Here at Peradon Farm, we are a proud Organic and Sustainable Farm in which we hold to the toughest standards of Green Farming Practice - from Animal Welfare and Environmental concerns.
For our Environmental Concerns, we believe heavily on the beneficial impacts of trees to our atmosphere and our animals wellbeing. For the past 30 years, we have planted well over 10,000 trees on our Organic farm. This has included a 900 tree berry wood coupled with selected species to provide for the natural habitats of wild birds and insects. We recently have started planting a large orchard of rare native apple and pear trees.
As we like to engage in Organic Farming practices, this means that wildlife is encouraged to thrive as we don't use any pesticides.
At our Organic and Sustainable Farm, we are also concerned with animal welfare. Our organic beef cattle and sheep herd also graze on our lush grass for most of the year. We like to operate a managed rotational cropping programme to make sure they all have plenty to eat and plenty of nutrients.
