Passion was started six years ago by Chantal Cooke and Kenny Stevens, two radio professionals who felt this powerful medium should be used for more than tabloid news and celebrity gossip. �Passion for the Planet is all about giving people information to enable them to make the most out of their lives in a responsible and ethical way,� says Chantal. �It never preaches, never tells you what you �should� do, it brings you a range of balanced information so you can make up your own mind.� Something else that sets Passion apart is that it does not buy into the media craze of always highlighting the negative. �Hearing nothing but bad news really isn�t good for us. Yes, terrible things happen and we need to know about them, but we also need to know about the good things and the positive work that�s being done,� says Chantal. �The more you hear about the great things others are doing, the more you�re inspired and able to do yourself.�

The music on Passion for the Planet is Kenny�s department: �The music is crucial to the sound of the station, and reflects its global grown-up feel.
