zhambala arts was founded by its owner who after 15 years as a Buddhist monk wanted to find a way to earn a living outside the monastery which was still ethical. Our products are hand made by villagers from poor areas of mainly Northern Thailand. We check to ensure these suppliers have like minded philosophy do not use child labour etc. The materials used in our products are from natural sustainable plants. These include bamboo, mango and palm woods as well as the naturally fallen leaves from Bodhi and Rubber trees.
